While you will need to create your alarm zones and set any entry and exit delays via the Web UI, you can still arm and disarm individual zones as well as the whole house via the Z-Box mobile app. Check out the simple steps below!

 

Alarm functionality in the mobile apps is limited to:

• Arming/disarming individual zones
• Arming/disarming the whole house 
• Force arming the system
• Setting up the alarm PIN
• Viewing the history of the alarms

 

There are two ways to access alarms in the mobile app:

1. From the Summary section under the Favorites menu. The alarm function is represented by the siren icon. If you don’t see the Summary section make sure it is set to visible under your Favorite settings.

 

 

2. From the Alarm section under the More menu:

 

 

Arming Status

 

To arm or disarm the system, click on the Siren Icon:

• Grey Siren means that all zones are disarmed.
• Half grey and half green siren means that some zones are armed, and some are disarmed.
• Green siren means that all zones are armed

 

 

 

Arming/Disarming a Single Zone From the Z-Box Mobile App

 

1. Navigate to the Alarm page by clicking on the Siren Icon on the Favorites menu.

 

 

2. To arm a zone, toggle the switch next to the zone you want to arm to the ON position.

 

Arming without Exit delay:

3. To disarm a zone, toggle the switch next to the zone you want to disarm to the OFF position. You will be asked to provide your security PIN. The default PIN is 1111. Scroll down to Setting Alarm Pin learn how to change your PIN in the mobile app.

 

 

If you enter an invalid PIN, you will be prompted again to enter a password. Remember if you set up an entry delay, the zone will not trigger an alarm as long as you provide the correct PIN before the entry delay is up.

 

Arming/Disarming the Whole House

 

1. Navigate to the Alarm page by clicking on the Siren Icon on the Favorites menu.

 

 

2. To arm the whole house, toggle the main switch to the ON position.

3. To disarm the whole house, toggle the main switch to the OFF position. You will be asked to provide your security PIN. The default PIN is 1111. Scroll down to Setting Alarm Pin learn how to change your PIN in the mobile app.

 

 

Setting Alarm PIN

 

1. Navigate to the More menu.

 

 

2. Select Settings and then the User Settings menu.

 

 

3. From the User Settings menu, click Edit.

 

 

4. You will be redirected to the Edit User Screen. Click on the Change Alarm PIN.

• Set a new 4-digit PIN by entering the new pin twice. 
• Choose if you want the gateway to ask for PIN also while arming (not only disarming). If yes, switch the toggle next to Ask for PIN when arming to ON. 

 

5. Your PIN has been updated. This new PIN will replace the system's default PIN 1111.

 

Force System Arming

 

If one of the security devices is currently in an active state (e.g. a door/window sensor is in open state, or a motion senor is detecting motion), you will see a prompt to check device status when trying to arm the system. 

 

Click Cancel and check on the device. If the issue persists you can remove the device from the zone.
