Scenarios provide a smart and flexible way to automate and manage your devices and profiles based on specific conditions. Whether it’s switching off outdoor lights at sunrise or adjusting the thermostat when you head out, scenarios enable your system to seamlessly align with your daily routine.
Easily created within the mobile app, these settings can be modified or removed at any time, ensuring you stay in complete control. With just a few taps, you can customize your system to enhance convenience, efficiency, and overall ease of use—making smart automation work effortlessly for you.
We've created an example scenario below which depicts how to turn off specific lights when one of the ZEN37 Wall Remote buttons is pressed.
1. From the mobile app, click on Scenes and then click on + Add scenario.
2. Provide the Scenario Name and Description and select an icon. When done, click on Save and Continue. You will be redirected to the Summary page, where you have to define your Actions, Triggers, and Conditions.
3. Click on Add Action + under the What should happen section to define the actions that will take place. There are two types of actions: Devices and Profiles. You can define just a single action, or you can define multiple actions, which can be a mix of Devices and Profiles. To begin, start by selecting Devices.
4. Select one of the categories: Lights and color controllers, Gates and garage doors, Thermostats, or Other. Click on Lights and color controllers.
5. You can choose one or more devices by checking the box next to the room or a specific device. Click Next once you select all of your desired devices.
6. Next, define the action that should be applied to the selected devices. If you want to add a delay to the action, switch the toggle to the ON position and specify after what time the action should be executed. Once done, click on Save and Continue.
7. If you want to add additional Action, click on Add action + or click on Add starter + to define the trigger for the existing action. You can also edit the action by clicking on the Edit icon next to it.
8. Next, choose the event(s) that will trigger the action in this scenario by clicking on Add starter + and select the Devices category.
9. Next select the Remote Controllers category and then select your ZEN37 Wall Remote device from the list and click Next.
10. Click on Push the button to add a starter, and then select the button and the action on it that will trigger the scenario. Once done, click Confirm and then Save and Continue.
11. From here, you can Add or Edit a starter, you can add an Only if condition, or you can click on Finish if you are satisfied with your Scenario. Conditions you can choose from are: Devices, Time, Profiles, or Weather. Once done, your Scenario will be added to the list of Scenes and Scenarios. You can swipe to the left to see options to Delete, Edit or turn off the Scenario.
