Direct Association, which involves linking devices, enables the direct exchange of control commands among Z-Wave network devices. In this type of communication, the main hub plays no role. This mechanism allows devices to communicate with each other, even in scenarios where the hub is inactive or compromised, such as during a fire incident.
Multi-channel associations offer enhanced functionality when working with multi-channel devices, providing additional benefits for device associations.
